A youthful red color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Volpert Vineyard is deep, long, and layered with ripe cherry fruit and fresh leather. It has the more savory feel that I find on the coast, with orange oils, sappy herbs, medicinal herbs, and dark berries. It also has a Chinato-like quality, with well-defined tannins and a chalky texture through its very long, citrus-noted finish.
